Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacist to provide empathetic patient care, counseling on medications, and immunization services across a busy retail pharmacy. You will help manage workflow, staff coaching, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

You will contribute to medication management, drug interaction checks, and patient outcomes while maintaining high-quality service and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including dispensing, recordkeeping, and insurance billing.
• Experience dispensing prescriptions and knowledge of state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients on medicine use, interactions, and OTC options.
• Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Review and dispense prescribed medications in compliance with regulations.
• Ensure pharmacy operations comply with policies and standards; oversee scheduling and workflow.
• Maintain Good Faith Dispensing practices and collaborate on strategic opportunities.
