Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, software and insurance billing.
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities with knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.
• Leadership rating and disciplinary history considerations for internal candidates only.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, interactions, and privacy.
• Perform compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Review, interpret, and dispense prescribed medications in compliance with regulations.
• Oversee pharmacy operations, staff scheduling, and workflow efficiency.
• Ensure Good Faith Dispensing compliance with state and federal laws.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain pharmacy IT knowledge and support staff with systems and processes.
• Process insurance claims and handle third-party audits as needed.
• Lead training and performance reviews for pharmacy staff.
