Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to supervise staff and oversee the medication use process within their assigned area. The role focuses on delivering safe, efficacious, and cost-effective drug therapy, while maintaining strong communication with healthcare professionals and patients.

The manager will guide quality pharmaceutical care, ensure staffing and workflow efficiency, and develop evidence-based protocols in collaboration with clinical teams. PA licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required.
• Minimum 1 year of managerial/supervisory experience is required.
• Minimum 3 years of related work experience is required.
• Licensed Pharmacist (Pennsylvania) is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff in the practice area.
• Oversee the medication use process and clinical pharmacy services.
• Ensure provision of safe, efficacious, and cost-effective drug therapy.
• Evaluate the department’s current pharmacy practices and propose improvements.
• Lead staffing, recruitment, and performance management for assigned area.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
