Job summary

Meijer Inc. Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist supervisor to plan, direct and supervise day-to-day operations, including staffing, filling prescriptions accurately, staff training, and compliance with all policies and applicable laws.

You will lead clinical services, immunizations, patient safety and profitability, mentor pharmacists and technicians to reach their highest level, and motivate the team to deliver exceptional service while expanding the pharmacy business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR Certification.
• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and policies.

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Conduct performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
• Discipline actions as needed and ensure compliance.
• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Implement pharmacy programs including clinical services and profitability.
• Mentor pharmacists and technicians to improve performance.
• Lead immunization services and patient safety initiatives.
• Communicate effectively and prioritize workload.
