Job Summary

Provides empathetic pharmacy consulting services to patients regarding the effective use of medications and drug interaction awareness. Offers preventive and clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcome services. Ensures prescribed medications are compounded, reviewed, dispensed, and verified accurately according to regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures. Manages an efficient pharmacy workflow, improves pharmacy financials, manages inventory effectively, and enhances patient experience. Oversees pharmacy staff performance and engagement, ensuring their professional development through training, coaching, and performance management initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Patient Experience

• Engages patients, resolves issues, and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Models customer service best practices to deliver a joyful patient experience.
• Proactively offers healthcare services and promotes the shift from transactional to interpersonal pharmacy roles.

Operations

• Counsels patients on medication use, side effects, interactions, and privacy.
• Performs pharmacy tasks including compounding, drug reviews, and verification.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Oversees pharmacy workflow, staff scheduling, and opening/closing procedures.
• Supports IT systems and improves productivity.
• Handles insurance claims and resolves patient issues related to billing.
• Collaborates with healthcare providers and performs clinical services.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the relevant states.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience, including dispensing and compliance.
• Knowledge of controlled substance laws.
• Internal candidates should have an average rating of at least 3.0 and no disciplinary actions in the last 12 months.

Additional Requirements
