Job description

Pharmacy Manager

At CVS Health, we are focused on transforming health care for our customers and making our company a great place to work. Our Pharmacy Managers play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their respective pharmacy.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
  2. Oversee the pharmacy team during shifts, enhancing performance through effective coaching.
  3. Support accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures.
  4. Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and resolving medication issues.
  5. Offer and deliver immunizations and support Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize.
  6. Manage pharmacy inventory effectively, focusing on cold chain product protection.
  7. Conduct onboarding for new Technicians and Pharmacists, ensuring timely completion of training.
  8. Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  9. Partner with the Store Manager to maintain a talent pipeline of cross-trained colleagues.
  10. Oversee Staff Pharmacists and manage performance through observation and feedback.
  11. Regularly review business reporting for operational insights and develop action plans.
  12. Establish a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion within the pharmacy team.
  13. Maintain clinical and technical skills as the industry evolves.
  14. Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through clinical care services.
  15. Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
  2. Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  3. 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM-EL) program.
  2. 3-5 years of related work experience in a pharmacy or customer service setting.

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40

Time Type: Full time

Pay Range: $70.00 - $88.00
