Job summary

Tennessee Oncology, a leading community-based cancer care network, is seeking a Pharmacy Logistics Coordinator to manage prescriptions for shipment, process shipping labels, and coordinate timely delivery of medications. You will handle point-of-sale transactions, collect co-pays, maintain supplies, assist with specialty scripts, and deliver outstanding patient service in a fast-paced environment.

A high school diploma or GED and prior cash register experience are required; excellent

Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Logistics Coordinator manages prescriptions for shipment, processes shipping labels, schedules and tracks timely delivery of all packages, including assistance with specialty pharmacy scripts.
In addition, the logistics coordinator manages the point of sale (transactions) including the reception of patients calling in or presenting at the pharmacy to pick up medications.
Operates POS, collects co-payments at time of service and manages daily cash receipts.
Greets all patients entering the pharmacy in a timely and courteous fashion.
Answers the telephones and greets patients in a courteous, efficient manner. Routes phone calls or schedules patient education call backs as appropriate.
