Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee a high-volume retail pharmacy, ensuring safe dispensing, clinical services, and exceptional patient care. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, inventory control, and efficient operations.

You will lead pharmacy staff, drive performance, and expand immunization and wellness services while maintaining high customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with current licensure in the applicable states.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience including dispensing, recordkeeping, legal compliance, and pharmacy operations.
• Experience with pharmacy software and insurance billing systems.
• Knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws and compliance requirements.
• Internal candidates: leadership behaviors rating and no disciplinary actions in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients on medication usage, interactions, and safety.
• Perform compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and efficient pharmacy operations, including staff scheduling and workflow.
• Lead staff training and formal performance reviews to improve service quality.

Education

BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree

Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district
