Job summary

You will oversee immunization services, drug therapy reviews, inventory control, and collaboration with providers to optimize patient outcomes while upholding service standards and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance billing.
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
• Leadership behaviors rating and no disciplinary actions in the last 12 months (Internal candidates only).

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, drug interactions and safety and refers to providers as needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets, and dispenses prescribed medications accurately.
• Ensures the pharmacy operates in compliance with regulations and policies; oversees staff scheduling and workflow.
• Maintains Good Faith Dispensing practices with state and federal laws.
• Collaborates with Store Manager on strategic business opportunities.
• Maintains pharmacy IT knowledge and supports staff with technology.
• Ensures insurance claims are processed accurately and handles third-party audits.
• Follows up with medical providers on therapies and immunizations; provides clinical services.
