Job summary

Smith’s Food & Drug Centers seeks an experienced Pharmacy Senior Certified Technician to support and mentor the pharmacy team, assist the pharmacist, and ensure accurate dispensing and customer service.

Responsibilities include HIPAA compliance, inventory management, scheduling support, and training new hires, with a focus on safety and regulatory adherence across the store’s pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of Pharmacy Certified Technician experience within the Kroger enterprise.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Professional, dependable, positive attitude with good judgment and leadership ability.
• Completion of national and/or state registration, certification or license depending upon state requirements.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacy operations and staff training to maintain a high performing team.
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities that do not require pharmacist judgment.
• Provide excellent customer experience during reception, data entry, adjudication and dispensing steps.
• Lead technician training and mentor new hires daily.
• Oversee inventory management and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure sanitation and safety regulations are followed and risks are reported.
