Kroger Family of Companies in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Pharmacy Senior Certified Technician to support pharmacists and patient care. You will perform reception, data entry, adjudication, dispensing, and clinic support while maintaining HIPAA compliance and safety standards.

The role requires state registration or licensure, 1+ year pharmacy tech experience, and a strong customer-service focus. You will train new teammates, assist with scheduling, and help manage pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

  • HIPAA regulations must be understood and followed.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions and tasks of a Pharmacy Senior Certified Technician.
  • Maintain current state registration, certification, or license as required by state.
  • Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgement.
  • Provide stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
  • Train and mentor new hire technician day-to-day training and support for pharmacy associates.
  • Encourage and assist new techs through the technician training program.
  • Lead by example and delegate to ensure department standards are met.
  • Serve as the primary representative for store-wide meetings/huddles.
  • Help create and manage scheduling and station rotation for hourly staff.
  • Complete the PIC Assistant process walk.
  • Oversee inventory management including orders, returns, and physical inventory prep.
  • Act as pharmacy safety SME and coach for accuracy as appropriate.
  • Prepare for offsite B2B clinics to support pharmacist.
  • Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and local/state/federal health codes; report unsafe conditions.
  • Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report illegal activity.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.

  • Comply with and reinforce all sanitation and safety regulations/guidelines/procedures and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
  • Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum

High School Diploma or GED

1 year or more of Pharmacy Tech experience

Pharmacy Technician Certification

Must be professional, dependable, possess positive attitude, good judgment, and be able to gain the support of others to lead a high performing pharmacy team

Selfmotivated, able to organize, prioritize, plan and meet deadlines

Desired

1 year or more of previous experience in a management or supervisory role
