Job summary

Parkview Health Services in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Inventory Specialist to support accurate, compliant inventory management across the pharmacy location. You will ensure correct stock levels, timely ordering, proper storage, and invoice reconciliation while adhering to medication handling standards.

You will maintain cycle counts, track expiration dates, rotate stock via FIFO, and collaborate with pharmacists and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; one year of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Experience with inventory and fulfilment processes in a pharmacy setting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory control.
• Proficient with pharmacy software and basic Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Complete job assignments in compliance with State and Federal laws and internal policies governing medications.
• Receive and stock daily vendor orders via inventory and pharmacy software.
• Maintain inventory levels and perform cycle counts; report and correct discrepancies.
• Track expiration dates and ensure FIFO stock rotation; log recalled or damaged meds.
• Oversee drug stock transfers between pharmacies within jurisdiction.
• Maintain handling and disposal of hazardous drugs per USP 800 guidelines.
