Job summary

Loyola Medicine, a regional leader in healthcare, seeks a Pharmacy Technician Specialist for a full-time Day shift. The role supports inventory, formulary adherence, and collaboration with sales reps to obtain product information and promotions.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, IL licensure as a Pharmacy Tech, and 1–2 years of technician experience; completion of a technician training program is preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a pharmacy environment preferred.
• 1-2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in IL required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Meets with sales representatives to obtain information about new drugs and sales promotions.
• Practice inventory control and accountability to ensure adequate inventory within budget constraints.
• Determine appropriate drug inventory levels following formulary specifications and usage trends.

What you’ll need for this job:

• High School Diploma
• Preferred: Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program
• 1-2 years of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Student enrolled in a college of Pharmacy preferred
• Experience in a customer service pharmacy environment or related field preferred
• Current IL licensure as a Pharmacy Tech
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification validated by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or ExCPT validated by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required for all technicians licensed after December 31st, 2007. Newly licensed technicians have 2 years from license effective date to obtain their CPhT and become licensed as a registered certified pharmacy technician.

Pay Range: $20.02 - $31.03 per hourActual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
