Brown University Health’s Rhode Island Hospital Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to receive medications and supplies, sort and file documents, and ensure accurate inventory records. You will handle electronic tracing, verify legitimacy, and support replenishment across Brown University Health facilities.

You will work under supervision of a pharmacist and Purchasing Specialist, complying with DSCSA, USP standards, and safety guidelines while coordinating logistics and communicating

Competenze

• High school graduate or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Maintains RI Pharmacy Technician II licensure.
• Holds and maintains CPhT certification or closely tracks to obtain it within 12 months.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Mansioni

• Receives medications and pharmaceutical supplies at the loading dock and transports within the RI Hospital Pharmacy.
• Identifies suspected illegitimate medications and takes appropriate action.
• Initiates and executes electronic tracing of medications and supplies received and transferred out.
• Maintains inventory records and uses the pharmacy inventory management system to monitor levels.
• Prepares medication for distribution to replenish inventory at Brown University Health facilities.
• Communicates with staff, management, and customers regarding stock receiving and supply chain.
• Performs duties in compliance with DSCSA, USP 800, NIOSH guidelines, and other safety standards.
