Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician/ Purchasing Specialist to manage receiving, stocking, and tracing medications and supplies in the RIH Pharmacy. You will ensure accuracy in inventory using RxStrategies and ConsortiEX while maintaining compliance with DSCSA and USP guidelines.

Responsibilities include coordinating stock receipt, supporting purchasing decisions, and communicating with staff about supply chain issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One to two years of college preferred.
• Current Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician II licensure.

Responsibilities

• Receives medications and supplies at loading dock and transports within the pharmacy.
• Identifies illegitimate medications and takes appropriate action.
• Performs electronic tracing of medicines and supplies received and transferred.
• Uses inventory systems to monitor stock and generate reports.
• Maintains and files pharmacy supply chain documents per policies.
• Ensures compliance with DSCSA, USP 800, NIOSH guidelines.
