Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
• RI Pharmacy Technician II licensure required; CPhT certification preferred or within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive medications and supplies at loading dock and transport within Rhode Island Hospital Pharmacy.
• Initiate and execute electronic tracing of medications and supplies received and transferred out.
• Utilize and maintain the inventory management system to monitor inventory levels and generate reports.
• Process stock receiving, signing, sorting, and filing of pharmacy supply chain documents.
• Comply with DSCSA, USP <800>, and NIOSH hazardous drug handling guidelines.
• Communicate stock receiving and supply chain updates to staff and management.
• Collaborate to optimize purchasing decisions and inventory par levels.
• Perform additional pharmacy technician duties as needed.
