Position Description

The Pharmacy Inventory Lead demonstrates competence in inventory management and compliance within the inpatient pharmacy. Responsibilities include coordinating training, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, and overseeing the receipt and storage of medications for UVMMC. The role involves working with pharmacy systems such as wholesale distributor software, inventory management systems, EPIC, and StatStock. The Lead ensures compliance with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), performs regular cycle counts, and manages the replenishment of hospital emergency carts and kits using RFID technology. The position requires multitasking, excellent customer service, and collaboration across departments to ensure medication availability and safety.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree in business, or two years of college or technical school, preferably with an emphasis on business or inventory management
  • Pharmacy Tech certification desirable
  • State registration as a Pharmacy Technician
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience with computerized purchasing and pharmacy inventory systems
