Job summary

Kroger Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to assist in providing premier customer service in the store’s pharmacy department and to support pharmacists with dispensing medications and counseling customers in Shenandoah, Texas.

You will gain hands-on experience while staying compliant with regulatory requirements and safety standards. Minimum qualifications include active enrollment in a US pharmacy program and a current Pharmacy Intern license.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
• Provide drug counseling to customers.
• Assist with over the counter medications recommendations.
• Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense the correct medication.
• Contact prescribers' offices for authorization.
• Provide immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist.
