Job summary

Kroger Pharmacy in Georgia is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacists and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced store environment. You will gain hands-on experience in counseling, dispensing, insurance processing and immunization support.

You will input prescriptions, verify accuracy, communicate with prescribers when needed, maintain safety standards, and help patients with questions, contributing to a patient-centered, compliant pharmacy operation.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Assist customers by answering questions about products and services.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and discuss pharmaceutical products.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense medications and process third party insurance information.
• Provide immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist.
