Job summary

Firelands Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Sandusky, Ohio. You will prepare and dispense medications, maintain sterile products per USP standards, and support patient care areas with accuracy and efficiency.

Under supervision of the Director or a Registered Pharmacist, you will manage inventories, process orders, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. A current Ohio Pharmacy Intern license is required, along with strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified pharmacy technician.
• Demonstrated ability to organize work and perform under supervision.
• Ability to read/write small print and perform basic arithmetic.
• Strong communication skills for patient and team interaction.

Responsibilities

• Procures and distributes drug orders per physician requests and policies.
• Fills physician orders, surgical kits, carts, and requisitions accurately.
• Prepares sterile products per USP 797/800; adept in pharmacy calculations.
• Delivers medications and supplies to patient care areas; verifies orders with pharmacist.
• Maintains stock, restocks areas, and handles returns from patient care areas.
• Generates reports, labels, and conducts monthly inspections as assigned.
