Job summary

AdventHealth in Ocala, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to maintain inventory, stock shelves, and deliver meds to units. You will replenish drugs used in surgery and code carts, complete charge sheets, and support pharmacists with timely tasks.

Requires High School Grad and enrollment in a College of Pharmacy, plus 1+ years of related experience. RPhT/PSI/CPhT certifications or equivalents required.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv required.
• Must be currently enrolled in a College of Pharmacy.
• 1+ years position-related experience preferred.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) or Pharmacy Intern (PSI) or NHA/CPhT or PTCB CPhT required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain centralized and decentralized pharmacy inventory, including assessing par levels, stocking shelves, ordering supplies, and alerting the buyer to stock shortages.
• Makes and delivers products so they arrive at the unit on time.
• Replenishes drugs used during surgery and code blue carts; completes charge sheets for each patient.
• Performs functions requested by pharmacists or pharmacy leadership in a timely manner.
• Maintains accuracy and accountability in all controlled substance transactions.
• Answers the phone promptly and courteously; restocks boxes, kits, trays, and code cart trays.
• Notifies leadership and the pharmacy buyer to resolve chronic stock-out situations.
