Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Toledo, OH for per diem coverage in the Retail Pharmacy department. The role involves data entry, prescription fulfillment, packaging and shipping, and customer service to patients, physicians, and insurers.

The technician will assist the pharmacist with dispensing medications, inventory management, and maintaining the cash drawer and order shipping to patients and prescribers. Shifts are 4-6 hours in the afternoon/evening with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacy Intern License with Ohio Board of Pharmacy; May be hired with restrictions if license obtained within 6 months of hire in Ohio.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) exam permitted.

Responsibilities

• Data entry, prescription fulfillment, packaging/shipping, customer service, and maintenance of pharmacy operations.
• Talk to patients, physicians, insurance companies, manufacturers, and patient assistance programs over the phone.
• Assist the pharmacist with preparing and dispensing medications, receive/store/inventory drug orders and supplies, and manage cash drawer and shipping of orders.

Education

Certified Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacy Intern License with Ohio Board of Pharmacy
