Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Toledo, OH for per diem coverage in the Retail Pharmacy department. The role involves data entry, prescription fulfillment, packaging and shipping, and customer service to patients, physicians, and insurers.

The technician will assist the pharmacist with dispensing medications, inventory management, and maintaining the cash drawer and order shipping to patients and prescribers. Shifts are 4-6 hours in the afternoon/evening with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacy Intern License with Ohio Board of Pharmacy; May be hired with restrictions if license obtained within 6 months of hire in Ohio.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) exam permitted.

Job Summary:

As the Pharmacy Technician, you are responsible for data entry, prescription fulfillment, packaging/shipping, customer service, and maintenance of pharmacy operations.

You will talk to patients, physicians, insurance companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and patient assistance programs over the phone.

In this role, you help the pharmacist prepare and dispense medications, receive, store and inventory drug orders and supplies, maintain the cash drawer and ship completed orders to patients and prescriber offices.

SCHEDULE

• 4-6 hour shifts in the afternoon and evenings
• varied weekend rotation
• Holidays as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacy Intern License with Ohio Board of Pharmacy. May be hired with a Registered Pharmacy Technician with restrictions in duties and expectation of Certified License being obtained within 6 months of hire if working in Ohio.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (either PTCB or ExCPT (NHA) exam permitted)
