Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date in position.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and contraindications; protects patient privacy and explains generics and OTC products.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures operations comply with regulations, policies, and standards; assists in establishing efficient workflow and handles opening/closing duties.
• Uses Good Faith Dispensing practices in line with state and federal laws for controlled substances.
• Maintains pharmacy IT systems and proposes enhancements to promote productivity.
• Processes insurance claims accurately and follows up with insurers and providers as needed.
• Provides immunizations, flu shots, and wellness services to support patient health.
• Analyzes performance data to improve pharmacy financials, service, and inventory management.
