Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date in position.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, interactions, and preventive care services such as immunizations.
• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, generic options, and referring to a medical provider when needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management as workload requires.
• Ensures regulatory compliance, policy adherence, and efficient workflow; assists in pharmacy asset protection and inventory management.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and supports staff; processes insurance claims and handles third-party audits.
