Walgreens in Waterbury, CT is seeking a pharmacist to provide counseling on medication usage, safety, and interactions, while ensuring accurate dispensing and compliance with regulations. This role supports immunizations and preventive care and helps optimize pharmacy workflow.

Competenze

Willingness to obtain Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree prior to start date.
Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Mansioni

Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and generic options.
Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
Ensures regulatory compliance and efficient workflow, supports opening/closing and shift changes.
Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems (Intercom Plus, registers, automation, StoreNET) and suggests enhancements.
Manages insurance claims processing and follows up with providers/insurers to prevent rejections.
Provides immunizations, flu shots, diabetes awareness, and other preventive health services.
Develops relationships with local medical community and participates in outreach to grow the business.
