Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year pharmacy intern to join our Retail Pharmacy team in North Carolina. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support patient care, safety, and compliance while developing professional skills in a fast-paced health care environment.

This part-time internship emphasizes customer service, accurate medication handling, and adherence to state guidelines.

Qualifications

Active enrollment in ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
0-3 years relevant work experience.
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe.
Physical requirements: standing, lifting up to 20 lbs, use of dexterity and mobility as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead with Heart—demonstrate empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
Collaborate with the pharmacy team to deliver safe and effective patient care.
Support patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance in daily operations.
Assist with inventory management and workflow within the Retail Pharmacy setting excluding final prescription verification.
