Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to starting the position.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacy consulting on medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
• Ensure proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications per regulations.
• Greet customers, assist with products and services, and resolve issues to ensure positive experiences.
• Model and share customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive experience.
• Develop relationships with customers and promote healthcare services like patient consultation and medication management.
• Counsel patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and referrals as needed.
• Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensure operations comply with regulations; assist pharmacy manager with workflow optimization and shift duties.
• Maintain adherence to Good Faith Dispensing policy and controlled substance laws.
• Stay current with pharmacy IT systems and propose productivity improvements.
• Process insurance claims accurately, resolve issues, and participate in third-party audits.
• Follow up with medical providers to clarify prescriptions and suggest alternatives.
• Provide immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness services.
• Assist pharmacy manager with performance analysis, financials, customer service, asset protection, and inventory management.
• Build relationships with local medical community and participate in community outreach.
• Coordinate with Central Pharmacy Operations for customer registration and third-party reviews.
• Support staff hiring, training, coaching, and employee development.
• Promote teamwork and motivate the team by setting expectations and recognizing progress.
