Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Pharmacy Intern at the Mason Service Center (PRN). This entry-level role will support clinical pharmaceutical functions under a pharmacist, including patient rounds, history taking, counseling, and education.

The intern will also precept student pharmacists and participate in education experiences. Responsibilities include medication history interviews, counseling on meds and devices, reviewing therapies, and communicating findings with the health care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy with an active board of pharmacy intern licensure.
• Pharmacy Intern Licensure by State Board of Pharmacy required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medication history interviews and education.
• Counsel patients on prescription and OTC medications and devices.
• Monitor therapies via profile reviews and laboratory values.
• Develop therapeutic plans and communicate with the care team.
• Provide drug information to health care providers.
• Other duties as assigned.
