Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team, learn state and federal regulations, and provide an excellent patient experience. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under supervision.

Under supervision, you will participate in entering, third party processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions, and assist with patient counseling and health services as allowed by state scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and patients by greeting them and offering help with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Support the pharmacist and pharmacy team in entering, processing prescriptions, and providing patient care under supervision.
• Maintain knowledge of pharmacy policies and procedures and comply with regulatory requirements.
