Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern in the United States to learn by supporting pharmacists and the pharmacy team in providing patient-centered care. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and contribute to a positive, welcoming customer experience.

Under supervision, you will assist with entering, processing, and dispensing prescriptions, participate in patient counseling and health services, and support inventory and store operations

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolves issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive experience.
• Develops strong relationships with customers.
• Under supervision by the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy.
• Reviews and complies with Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
