Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to learn the patient experience by assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team in accordance with state and federal regulations. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under supervision.

You will model and deliver a distinctive customer experience while gaining exposure to policy, procedures, and customer service best practices necessary to perform as a future pharmacist in a community pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist and pharmacy team with dispensing and patient counseling.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems.
• Engage customers to ensure a positive experience.
• Support inventory management and stocking.
• Adhere to state, federal, and Walgreens policies.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
