Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy intern to support pharmacists and the pharmacy team in providing excellent patient care in a retail setting. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions while learning policy and best practices.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will assist with entering, third party processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions, contribute to patient counseling, and help with inventory and daily store operations.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive customer experience.
• Develops strong relationships with customers.
• Learn from store and pharmacy team members, field leadership, team members and customers/patients.
• Assist in the practice of pharmacy under pharmacist supervision in accordance with policy.
• Report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and follow quality procedures.
• Adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policies.
