Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance in Wisconsin Dells is seeking a Pharmacy Intern/Technician trainee working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to fulfill state requirements and provide pharmacy consulting, immunizations, and medication management.

You will support compounding, dispensation, and verification, help optimize pharmacy workflow, inventory, and customer experience, and participate in community health services and staff training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy, if required.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 45 days of intern hours.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions and privacy, referrals as needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribed medications accurately.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and supports workflow and inventory management.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems and supports customer service.
• Participates in community outreach and Well Experience initiatives.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States
