Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a Pharmacist to provide pharmacy consulting, compounding, dispensing, review and verification of medications, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will support workflow, optimize operations, and enhance customer experience through clinical services and vaccines.

This role requires a PharmD and licensure within the district within 90 days of hire; immunizer certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date in position.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy; refer to provider when needed.
• Perform compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensure pharmacy operations comply with regulations and company policies; assist with open/close and shift changes.
• Utilize pharmacy IT systems (Intercom Plus, registers, StoreNET) and improve productivity.
• Process insurance claims accurately and follow up with insurers and providers to resolve issues.
• Provide immunizations, flu shots, and wellness services to patients.
• Analyze performance data with pharmacy leadership to improve efficiency and asset protection.
