Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure in the appropriate state or district.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding usage of medications, side effects, interactions, and privacy.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations and company policies; assists with opening/closing and shift changes.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems (Intercom Plus, registers, automation, StoreNET) and proposes enhancements to promote productivity.
• Ensures accurate processing of insurance claims and follows up with payers and providers.
• Supports community outreach to promote Walgreens' services and growth.
