Job summary

Walgreens in Glenview, IL is seeking a pharmacist-in-training to support post-graduate pharmacy activities under licensed supervision. You will counsel customers on medication usage, drug interactions and preventive care services such as immunizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC) required.
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy.
• Willingness to obtain licensure in the district within 45 days of intern hours.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, counsels patients on usage, side effects and interactions.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification.
• Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Assists manager with procedures to optimize workflow, inventory and KPI reviews.
