The intern will support drug information, dosing, compounding, and distribution, while ensuring compliance with Ohio Board of Pharmacy rules and department policies.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy intern duties performed under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Involves patient care rounds, medication history, counseling and education.
• Engages in scholarship and teaching activities for trainees.

Responsibilities

• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds.
• Provide patient counseling on medications and devices.
• Review medication orders for dose, form, and interactions.
• Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and drug information retrieval.
• Assist in vaccination administration when applicable.
