Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacist and pharmacy team in delivering excellent patient care and service. You will assist with entering, third-party processing, filling and dispensing prescriptions while learning policies, procedures, and customer service best practices.

You will work under pharmacist supervision, participate in patient counseling and health services, and help maintain store operations and accuracy in medication handling and store policies.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients to provide product help and ensure a positive experience.
• Models customer service best practices and Walgreens service traits to deliver a distinctive experience.
• Assists pharmacist and pharmacy team under supervision to practice pharmacy per policy and SOPs.
• Provides patient counseling and health services within state scope of practice when applicable.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to quality programs.
