Job summary

CVS Health in the United States offers a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern program designed to apply school learning to real-world pharmacy operations. Under a preceptor, interns complete a training roadmap, gain hands-on experience in filling prescriptions, SOPs, and patient care, while exploring store, district, and regional operations.

Interns develop clinical and technical skills, demonstrate empathy and teamwork, and prepare for a Pharmacist role with guidance from licensed pharmacists across shifts.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy enrollment.
• Valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on key learning experiences.
• Assist pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
• Follow SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation.
• Provide empathetic customer service and counsel patients when appropriate.
• Remain flexible for scheduling, travel to stores in market as needed.
