Job summary

CVS Health is offering a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern program designed to bridge didactic learning with real-world practice in retail pharmacy settings. Under a preceptor, you will follow a comprehensive training roadmap

to learn store, district, and regional operations, support pharmacists, and gain hands-on experience in medication dispensing, patient care, and immunization services where allowed by law. This part‑time role emphasizes safety, empathy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or accepted to an ACPE‑accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern/technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to support Pharmacists and Technicians.
• Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures for safe prescription fulfillment.
• Provide empathetic, patient-centered service at pick‑up, drive‑thru, and over the phone.
• Counsel patients and obtain medical history information when appropriate under supervision.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescribers as allowed by state law.
• Mentor and coach pharmacy team members and support leadership with training.
• Assist with inventory tasks and returns‑to‑stocks as directed by leadership.
• Travel to market stores for shifts as needed by business requirements.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure safety and privacy.
• Deliver additional health services (immunizations, point‑of‑care testing) where permitted.
