Job summary

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree prior to the start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the boards in the states within the district within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions and generics.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures; assists with opening/closing the pharmacy.
• Processes insurance claims and follows up with insurers to prevent denials.
• Provides immunizations and other preventive health services.
• Analyzes performance data with management and supports asset protection and inventory management.
• Builds relationships with local medical professionals and participates in community outreach.
