Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern in Columbus, OH for a part-time role. You will apply classroom learning in real-world pharmacy settings, under a preceptor and district leadership, on a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap to prepare for a Pharmacist role.

You will assist the pharmacy team with safe and accurate prescription processing, patient counseling, and a growing scope of immunization and clinical services as readiness increases.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program and must obtain pharmacist licensure within the state guidelines.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• 1+ year of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting preferred.
• Ability to become immunization certified when regulations allow.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Readiness to follow SOPs and participate in store operations.
• Counsel patients, answer medical questions, and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist with immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite vaccination clinics where allowed.
• Handle telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescribers as permitted by state rules.
• Support inventory tasks, cycle counts, and shipping/receiving duties as directed.
