Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland is seeking a Pharmacy Intern for the Summer 2027 Internship. You will support inpatient pharmacy operations and rotate through core stations, gaining IV preparation training and opportunities to engage in clinical activities in year two.

The internship begins Summer 2027 with scheduling around your academic availability; weekend coverage is required, and the program provides hands-on experience in a Magnet-designated facility.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy program and eligible for intern license in Ohio or eligible for Foreign Graduate Pharmacy Intern License.
• Current State Board of Pharmacy Intern License (PH/INT) before start date.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess medication orders, identifying and resolving drug-related issues.
• Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.
• Compound and prepare medications for delivery to patient care areas.
• Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
• Communicate with physicians and other clinicians to facilitate care.
