During the first summer you will focus on operational workflows such as delivering medications to patient care areas, refilling Pyxis machines, and processing nursing requests.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy meeting Ohio intern license requirements.
• International pharmacy experience meeting Foreign Graduate Pharmacy Intern License requirements.
• Current State Board of Pharmacy Intern License (PH/INT) before hire.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess medication orders to identify and resolve drug-related issues.
• Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.
• Compound and prepare medications for delivery to patient care areas.
• Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
• Communicate with physicians and clinicians to facilitate care.
