Walgreens is seeking a pharmacist to provide expert medication guidance, perform dispensing and clinical services, and support store operations. The role focuses on patient safety, immunizations, and collaborative care with healthcare providers.

Responsibilities include counseling, medication management, and adherence to regulatory standards while delivering excellent customer experiences. The position involves teamwork, leadership, and commitment to community health in a retail pharmacy setting.

Formación

• Pharmacist with Pharm D degree and licensure within district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain licensure within 90 days as required by district guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and ensures privacy and safety.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management to ensure accuracy.
• Ensures compliance with Good Faith Dispensing and state/federal laws in all dispensing activities.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems and proposes enhancements to improve productivity.
• Processes insurance claims accurately and follows up with insurers and providers as needed.
• Provides immunization, wellness services and health education to customers and patients.
• Supports pharmacy manager with staff scheduling, training and KPI review to improve performance.
• Engages with local medical community to promote pharmacy services and community health.
