Job summary

CVS Health in Minnesota is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy teams in delivering patient care, immunizations, and safe prescription fulfillment while developing skills for greater responsibility. You will assist in counseling patients, handling prescriptions, and providing compassionate service in a busy retail setting.

The role involves collaboration with licensed pharmacists, adherence to SOPs, occasional travel to stores in the market as needed, and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to assist pharmacists and technicians with patient health.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Counsel and assist patients, answer medical questions, and obtain medical history when appropriate under supervision.
• Telephonically take prescriptions and clarify with prescribers as allowed by state regulation.
• Mentor pharmacy staff and participate in inventory and cycle counts.
