Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support our pharmacy teams in delivering safe and accurate prescriptions while applying didactic learning to real-world practice. Under a preceptor, you’ll follow a comprehensive training roadmap, gain hands-on experience, and help ensure compassionate patient care across front-store operations.

Responsibilities include assisting with immunizations, counseling where appropriate, and maintaining SOP adherence to support a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Attend regularly and on schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Complete required training within the designated timeframe.
• Concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
• Pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
• Confirm prescription information and ensure labeling accuracy for patient safety.
• Provide customer service with a friendly, patient-focused approach.
• Demonstrate clear communication with patients and colleagues.
• Demonstrate active listening and respond appropriately to questions and concerns.
• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure timely prescription fulfillment and safe operations.
