Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Jefferson City is seeking a Pharmacy Trainee intern to learn the full range of duties under pharmacist supervision. You will assist in dispensing, inventory management, and patient record maintenance while gaining skills toward professional licensure.

As a trainee, you will observe and perform routine tasks under supervision, interact with customers, answer inquiries, and support documentation and billing processes within the pharmacy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
• No experience required.
• PRN / Per Diem shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service through greeting and assisting customers in the pharmacy.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications and maintaining inventory.
• Answer phones and emails and document non-pharmacist inquiries.
• Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of billing and insurance information.
• Under pharmacist supervision, counsel patients about medications and safety.
