Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to apply pharmacy school learning in real-world practice within our pharmacy teams. You will follow a comprehensive 120‑day training roadmap under a preceptor and district leadership to deepen patient safety, DUR, and professional standards, while supporting daily dispensing tasks and compassionate patient care.

As you gain readiness, you will take on greater accountability for store operations, SOP adherence, immunization support where allowed,

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post‑Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Stay compliant with SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and ensuring compassionate care
• Counsel patients and obtain relevant medical history to support optimal care under supervision
• Assist with telephonic prescriptions and clarification with prescribers when allowed by state law
• Provide in‑the‑moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members
• Support basic inventory activities and cycle counts as directed
• Remain flexible for scheduling and traveling to stores as needed by the business
• Comply with federal, state, and local laws and CVS policies for patient safety and privacy
• Deliver immunizations and point‑of‑care testing where permitted by training and law
